Apple Butter

In the past when we have made Apple Butter we've used applesauce as the base, then added the sugar and spices. This year we decided to use real apples (and by that I mean I decided... Matt complained about chopping apples). :) It was definitely a lot more work, but I think it tastes a little better. Actually, the taste isn't much different, but it is a little thicker, which I like.

 

 Ginny liked the new recipe. She stood at our feet in the kitchen and was quick to clean up any apple slices that found their way onto the floor.
