Joanna's First Halloween

You didn't really think that our daughter's first Halloween costume would be something like a princess, did you? Nah! Joanna was a Ninja Turtle for Halloween - just a Ninja Turtle with a tutu!

 

5 Month Bonus Pictures

Joanna wasn't overly excited about taking her 5-month pictures, so we didn't get as many "extras" as usual, but I thought these two were pretty cute.

5 Months Old

5 Months

• She sleeps all night, usually 9-11 hours straight. We are thankful for her sleep habits! She takes a 2-3 hour nap around lunch time most days, then smaller naps throughout the day.

• She loves to talk! Overall, she is a fairly quiet baby, but when she gets going, she is extra silly! She gurgles and squeals and makes all sorts of goofy noises.

• We still swaddle her and put her in her sleeper at night, but during the day, she usually naps on her belly in the crib.

• She rolls from her belly to her back, and can roll onto her side.

• She still nurses for 10-15 minutes every 2-3 hours during the day.

• She is a very happy baby. She has the sweetest smiles!

• She loves her orange ball toy. She loves to put it in her mouth, look at it, and bat it around when we hang it from her play mat. That is definitely her favorite toy!

• She still loves being outside, and we've had a few cooler days lately where we've been able to actually ENJOY being outside for longer than 5 minutes! We are definitely looking forward to fall!

• She has strong legs! I told everyone that when I was still pregnant (and I felt her strong legs from the inside!), and it is still true today. She likes to stand up in our laps and smile at us like she knows she is cute!

• She drools like crazy and puts everything in her mouth.

• She has discovered her feet and likes to look at them and touch them.

• She is figuring out how to sit up on her own. She still needs quite a bit of help right now, but you can tell it is something she's figuring out.

Rangers Playoffs

Joanna dressed up in her best Rangers gear to try to cheer on the Rangers in the playoffs. Unfortunately, her charm didn't get them too far, but she is definitely the cutest Rangers fan I've ever seen!

Hot Springs Visit

We took a trip to Hot Springs to visit Pappa Mac & Jill, and to let Joanna meet them for the first time! We had a wonderful visit, and Joanna was SO sweet.
