New Nephew!

Hey everyone! I am officially done with school for the semester! I finished up with finals on Wednesday afternoon and headed home. I still have a lot to do before Matt and I leave for Colorado for the summer, but it is nice to have a little break before then.

On a more exciting note, I have a new baby nephew! You can find more information and updates on Jason & Summer's Blog. For now, I will just post some pictures of precious little Judah James Cox!

Elijah giving his baby brother a kiss. Elijah is a GREAT big brother!!

Elijah teaching Judah how to make goofy faces for the camera... ;)

Me holding Judah

Isn't he precious?!

I think he was making one of his many faces in this picture... he is so cute!

Now, just for fun, some pictures that go along with the saying, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!" :)

New Posts!

OK! I posted THREE new posts before this one - so check them out! I still have one more (huge) batch of pictures from Beaver's Bend to share, but I'll have to take care of that one later. Tomorrow is my LAST DAY of classes! I have finals next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday then I'm done! Needless to say, there is a lot going on right now. I'll try to get that last post up soon and keep yall updated on what all is going on!

Videos

Here are a couple of videos that I couldn't get to post earlier...

Elijah singing "Oh Where is My Hairbrush?" from Veggie Tales. He had been singing it a lot louder whilst running circles around the couches, haha! He got a little more shy once I got the video camera out. :)

Here is Max doing his trick, "Bang!"

Backyard, Zoo, & Park

Here are some pictures from the first weekend of my Spring Break. There are pictures of Elijah and the dogs playing outside, and our trip to the park and the zoo! I will just put captions with the pictures...

Elijah playing with a big stick in the backyard...

Max decided he needed a stick to play with too!

Elijah cheesin' it for a picture!

Lucy eating acorns in the backyard...

Max running...

Then Matt and I took Elijah to the zoo...

Matt trying to kiss a goat?! What a goober... :)

Matt and Elijah feeding the goats.

Checkin out the animals!

Then we went to the park to play!

Elijah LOVED climbing up this rope...

Matt decided to have a little fun too. :)

They BOTH look like goofballs!

It was windy... I had to try to keep my hair out of my face, haha!

I jammed my thumb... :(

Apparently it was Frank Buck's birthday so everyone got free cupcakes!

We had a really fun (and exhausting) day running around with Elijah at the park and the zoo! :)

Spring Break Concert

I know this is long overdue, but here is a recap of the concert from Spring Break:

On Friday after class I headed home to Gainesville. Matt and I were supposed to go to a concert that night in Dallas. Matt bought me the tickets for my birthday to see Sara Barielles, Ingrid Michaelson, Greg Laswell, Joshua Radin and Cary Brothers so we were finally going to get to go BUT.... Matt was sick! He really wanted to come but was running a fever and had been to the doctor and all that fun stuff and just really couldn't make it. Even though it was late notice, I convinced my mom to go with me! Mom took off work a little early (poor thing) and we left that afternoon and took off for Dallas! We were glad that we left when we did because we didn't hit too much traffic. We got into some once we got into Dallas, but it wasn't too bad.

Once we found the House of Blues we found a parking spot then got out to find a place to eat. We didn't want to wander off anywhere too far, because we didn't want to get lost! We decided to eat at the place that was right next door because we figured that would be real convenient. I was told by my mother that I wasn't allowed to tell where we ate. I will just give a hint though. It starts with "H" and ends with "ooters". As bad as it is sometimes, the food is actually VERY good. They put us in a little room in the very back where we were kind of by ourselves (we're guessing they could tell we weren't the "usual" customers) and it was really pretty nice! There was also a Mavs game that night so there were a bunch of people there in their Mavs jerseys. Anyway, we enjoyed our food, and by the time we finished eating the doors had opened so we could go to the concert!

If you have never been to the House of Blues, it is REALLY cool! It is real different, but it was a really neat atmosphere. We just had general admission tickets so we just had to find a place to stand. I think the "standing for four hours" thing was the only thing that my mom was a little hesitant about. Whereas we WERE tired at the end, it wasn't too bad. We found a place at the back (but that was still VERY close to the stage) where we could lean on the bars that surrounded the sound booth. Most of the time, we still had a really great view of the stage. We had one lady with huge hair (it smelled nice and clean, though) who kept backing up and getting really close to us. Eventually she would reazlie it and move up some for a little while.

The girls definitely stole the evening. The guys were ok, but Ingrid and Sara were definitely the best ones. Here are a few videos from the night (they aren't my videos - I found them on youtube). I also posted links to their myspace pages if you want to check them out that way!

Ingrid Michaelson: www.myspace.com/ingridmichaelson

Sara Bareilles: www.myspace.com/sarabareilles

This is one of my favorites of her songs. Mainly because of the bridge... I think its amazing. Just a warning though, it does have one bad word in the first verse. It's called "Bottle It Up"

This is her more well known song, "Love Song" (i learned part of this on piano!) At the beginning is a clip of her saying "Don't put this on YouTube!" Well of course, I found it on youtube! It's pretty funny. She is actually trying to say, "Don't grow up to be an alcoholic." Instead, she said something like, "Don't grow up to beek an alcohol," then mumbled something else. It's pretty funny.

So anyway, there is a quick summary of the concert! I won't post any videos of the guys, but I'll list their myspaces if you want to check them out!

http://www.myspace.com/greglaswell (my favorite of the guys) http://www.myspace.com/joshuaradin (second favorite of the guys) http://www.myspace.com/carybrothers (least favorite)

Sorry to my fans... ;-)

I have been highly UNmotivated to blog lately. Sorry to all my many fans. ;-)

Things have been really busy here, considering that I am entering my LAST WEEK OF CLASSES! That's right, I have classes this week, then finals then I'm done for the semester! Anyway, I have a ton of things to share, but I just haven't found the time. I really will try though. I promise to get back in the habit of blogging before Matt and I head to Colorado! :) I'm sure we'll have lots of good stories once we're there.

Anyway... maybe/hopefully/possibly I'll have some long awaited blog posts up sometime this week. :) Don't give up on me yet, though!

Dumb Computer

My computer is STILL at IT!! They have never had to keep it for this long, so who knows what all was wrong with it. I asked one of my friends who works in IT what was going on and he said they fixed half of the problem but are still working on the other half... so anyway, I haven't forgotten about all of yall! I just want to have pictures to share with yall along with my Spring Break stories (assuming I can still remember them all!) :)

I have a test at 8:00am tomorrow so I better do a little more studying then get to bed! Goodnight!
