St. Edwards Park

Matt and I took Ginny back out to St. Edwards park. We have taken her out there a few times and she's done great. She kept acting up on this trip and we couldn't figure out why, but I think she was just HOT. It is starting to get pretty hot in Austin, and I don't think she likes it! She kept pulling off the trail to get under the shade. We finally took her to the creek and let her play in the water some and cool down. She LOVED that.

We just bought a new camera (our old one decided to stop working completely) so we took a few pictures at the park.

The pictures really don't show how pretty it is there. The flowers were beautiful.

Finally! A chance to cool down! She loves sticking her face in the water!

Matt caught a picture "mid-shake."

So, even though our hike got cut short because of a tired, hot dog, we still had a good time. It will be nice to go out there some this fall once it cools down some.

Matt's Graduation

Matt finished his Master of Arts in Theological Studies! WOOHOO!
Several people came to Austin and we all enjoyed a Round Rock
Express game on Saturday night, then the graduation ceremonies on
Sunday. So proud of this guy! He's such a hard worker, he's so smart,
and I think he's pretty cute, too!

This is at the graduation ceremony...

This is me with our other sweet nephew, Jonathan, at the Express game from Saturday...

It was a busy, but great weekend!!

Trip to Gainesville

Matt and I drove up to Gainesville to celebrate a few birthdays! We
weren't able to make it to Elijah and Judah's birthday party this year,
but we were happy to get to celebrate with them a little bit the next
weekend. It was also dad's birthday!

As you can tell by the following pictures, I enjoyed my weekend.
:) I have some pretty sweet nephews!

Elijah and I are great buds, but he is getting big enough that I don't get to cuddle with him as often. I have to admit that I LOVED it when Judah was sitting in my lap and Elijah came over and said, "Hey Judah, do you think I could have a turn sitting in Laur Laur's lap?"

:)

Loved it.

Esperanza Spalding

Matt and I went to the Paramount Theater in Austin to see one of our favorite artists, Esperanza Spalding. The Paramount was incredible. Neither one of us had ever been before. Here are a couple of pictures that I found online... the first one is the view from the stage, and the second one is a few from the balcony seats (where we were).

With the exception of the drunk guy a couple of seats over who thought it was necessary to scream out through the whole performance, it was INCREDIBLE. She just does not miss notes... and she sings and plays some really incredible stuff. Awesome Concert!
